With the holiday season drawing close, it’s not too late to grab a good deal on some new video games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The latest entry in Activision’s long-running FPS franchise is already discounted to just $50 (was $70) at Amazon and Walmart. That’s a nearly 30% markdown just one month after its launch. The deal applies to the PlayStation 5, PS4, and Xbox Series X Cross-gen physical standard editions, but we’re not sure how long it’ll be available at this price–and it looks like stocks are low on PS4 version–so it’s wise to pick it up soon.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 standard edition contains the full base game–which includes a new single-player campaign, multiplayer, and the latest iteration of the popular Call of Duty: Zombies mode. The Xbox version is a cross-gen edition that lets you play on either Xbox Series X or Xbox One, while the PS5 version is only for Sony’s latest console. The PS4 version, however, lets you play the PS4 build of the game on either PS4 or PS5. Since the game is already out, you won’t be eligible for any preorder bonuses that were offered before launch–but considering you’re saving $20 on the game, that’s a solid tradeoff.

In our three-part Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 review, GameSpot reviewer S.E. Dorster scored the single player campaign a 7, while giving the multiplayer modes an 8 thanks to its expanded movement system that gives players more mobility options in matches. “Overall, the multiplayer package is really strong in Black Ops 7. The movement is fun and fluid, the gunplay is as satisfying as ever, and the map designs greatly improve the experience from last year. Combined with the smaller quality-of-life change and the futuristic themes, and Black Ops 7 feels like a fresh experience that avoids any dreaded fatigue.” Likewise, Zombies mode remains as challenging as ever, returning to a round-based structure that pits players against progressively more dangerous hordes of the undead.
If Call of Duty doesn’t grab your attention, Battlefield 6 is also on sale for $50 (was $70). Critics and players have praised the latest entry in EA’s military shooter series for its fine-tuned gameplay, high-fidelity visuals, and destructible maps. And those looking for something outside the first-person shooter realm should check out another of 2025’s critically acclaimed releases, Silent Hill F, which is discounted to $47.49 (was $70). This new entry in the long-running survival horror series expands the Silent Hill mythos with an all-new setting and protagonist, while still offering the kind of atmospheric horror gameplay the franchise is known for.
